FGC Story Highlights
FGC Limited stands at the forefront of architectural innovation, having transformed the glazing industry with our patented truly frameless glass systems. From our beginnings in Kent, England, we've pioneered technology that others deemed impossible - creating double and triple glazed units using toughened glass spacer bars instead of traditional aluminium frames. Our journey of innovation has earned us patents across the UK, European Union, Australia, and the United States, recognising our unique contribution to architectural glazing.
2009 - The Foundation
FGC emerged in Kent, England, introducing the revolutionary P1 multiple panel glazing unit. This groundbreaking innovation marked the first time a double and triple glazed unit had been created using toughened glass spacer bars instead of traditional aluminium. This development established both the Infinity P Series product line and the Frameless Glass Curtains brand, setting new standards in the glazing industry.
2010 - Year of Recognition
This year brought multiple patent achievements and product development:
- UK Patent awarded for the exemplar design, specifically recognising the unique glass spacer bar method and multiple panel glazed unit
- Patent approval extended throughout the European Union
- Australian patent secured
- Introduction of the P2 Series, featuring an innovative tapered exterior bottom flange on the sliding rail, engineered specifically for improved rainwater deflection from buildings
2012 - International Expansion
June marked a significant milestone with the United States patent approval. The American market recognised FGC's system as truly unique and exemplary in its field, further validating the company's innovative approach to glazing solutions.
2013 - Technical Evolution
The P3 Series was launched, incorporating significant design improvements:
- Redesign of the exterior bottom sliding rail from tapered to flat surface
- Enhanced rail thickness to accommodate wider thermal breaks
- Expanded capacity for larger glazing units These modifications represented a significant step forward in the system's functionality and versatility.
2017 - Energy Efficiency
Innovation Begins FGC initiated a comprehensive period of product design developments, specifically responding to increasingly stringent regulatory energy efficiency requirements for UK buildings. This marked the beginning of a multi-year focus on environmental performance.
2021 - Future-Proofing
The company implemented further improvements to their systems, anticipating the enhanced energy efficiency requirements that would come into force in 2022. This proactive approach demonstrated FGC's commitment to staying ahead of industry standards.
2023 - Security Enhancement
June saw the P5 Series achieve PAS 24 Accreditation, recognising its enhanced security requirements. The system's state-of-the-art compression locking system represented a significant advancement in security technology for frameless glazing.
Present Day
The current Infinity P5 Series represents the culmination of years of innovation and development:
